'Tis the season! So if you’d like a break from the season, we have a solution for you! We’ve managed to get a last minute, end of the year gaming event set up with our friends at Lantern Games on Saturday December 16th! Come join us for some holiday fun, rolling dice, flipping cards and moving counters or miniatures around at the wonderful Lantern Games store. We’ll have our prize wheel ready for you to spin, and there will be games being demonstrated, games to join in playing (even if you don’t know how) and space for you to enjoy your own games with friends if you want. We’ll be ready to play from Noon until 6 so don’t miss out on the fun! SHHHHHH! There is a rumor that Santa (who is an avid gamer) will be visiting to take your requests for the games you want under your tree, and he may even play a game or two during the day! So Please join us to enjoy some holiday down time with us and some friends, and help us make a difference in a cancer patient’s fight by making a small donation if you can. Happy Holidays to everyone!
We are now a Non Profit! We received our 501(c)(3) in 2018, so come join us for fun and gaming to help stamp out cancer. We hold two events through out the year to raise money for cancer research. During our summer events we have our silent auction. We have had over 40 items to bid on thanks to the great people at C4, and the many game companies who donated to our cause. During our winter event, back by popular demand, is our Christmas Present Bid. We will have wrapped gifts that are all gaming related you can bid on. Pick them up, shake them (gently), and try to guess what would be the perfect gift under the tree. Feel free to open them here and make everyone jealous of your new “toys” or save them to put under the tree and open them on Christmas morning.
As always we will have many games being demoed. We have board games, historical war gaming, futuristic war gaming, card games, dice games, RPG’s, miniature tabletop games, oldies but goodies, and some new and exciting games. Not sure what kind of game to play? Find one of our GFAC volunteers and we can help you find just what you are looking for, and we will be happy to play it with you. We will also have games in progress through out the day. Want to join one that looks fun? Pull up a chair and join. We love to teach new people our love for the games we have. Keep an eye on our blog for some of the games we will have for you to enjoy. Have a game getting dusty that you love to play and can never find anyone to play with? Bring it with you, someone will play it with you!
Look for Heather, our local MIB. She will have many Steve Jackson games to demo, including the ever popular Munchkin games, Dresden files, Simon’s Cat, and many more fun and exciting games.
We will also have our prize table with our beloved Spinny Wheel. Donate $1 (or more) to win! We will have many small fun things to win all day. Donate, spin the wheel, and pick a prize.
So come get your game on with friends and help with a great cause. $5 (or more if the mood moves you) donation at the door gives you all day gaming.
Sign up to hear from us about gaming events and where you can find the next fun filled day to help stamp out cancer.
