Charlie has been with Gaming For A Cure since 2007. He was asked to be part of the planning committee, and has been involved ever since. Gaming For A Cure has become an important part of his life as he has striven to help us continue to make a difference “One Game At A Time” as he likes to say. He became our Director and Committee Chairman in 2015 and is always on the lookout for ways to make our organization bigger and better. He hopes to continue to lead the way well into our future.
He loves to meet new people that are interested in the gaming hobby, and is almost always willing to sit down to play almost anything! For Charlie, gaming is an engaging hobby that encourages problem solving, creativity and even math and reading. It doesn’t matter to him what you play, win, lose, or draw, Charlie just loves playing. His basic philosophy about it is that as long as you are having fun the end result doesn’t matter.
So if you see him at one of our events make sure you ask him, SO! What are we playing today?

Renee’ has been “helping” us at our events since about 2010. Although not an official committee member she was always willingly to lend a hand at our events every year. In 2016 we convinced her to join the committee and became our treasurer when we received our 503 (c) (3) status. Since then, Renee’ has been a bottomless resource for Gami
Renee’ has been “helping” us at our events since about 2010. Although not an official committee member she was always willingly to lend a hand at our events every year. In 2016 we convinced her to join the committee and became our treasurer when we received our 503 (c) (3) status. Since then, Renee’ has been a bottomless resource for Gaming For A Cure. Renee’ was instrumental in acquiring our domain name, getting our new web page set up, and getting all of our other electronic paraphernalia linked up.
Although she liked to play some role playing games and a few board games, Renee' has since greatly expanded her love of gaming. She can regularly be seen rolling up her sleeves and hoisting out her giant pink dice bag to play anything from a historical table top games to science fiction and common family board games. Renee's new found passion for all things gaming makes her a great teacher for new comers since she was there not too long ago.
Renee’s two passions at our events are shamelessly getting people to donate dollars for tickets to the auctions or Christmas presents, and our ever present spiny wheel. If you need to find her, just listen for the clickity click of the spinning prize wheel. That’s where she’ll be.

Heather has always been a game lover. She started with the classics as a kid, and moved on to D&D as she got to high school. Heather has a vast knowledge of many games and loves to encourage others to play. She can be seen often helping others to learn a new card game or dice game. This spills over into her personal life as Heather is always willing to help anyone. She also volunteers at a thrift store, makes jewelry, and can usually be found with her pugs in tow.
Heather is the main beggar at events for donations, so if you see her pulling a wagon at an event, you know she’s looking for donations. Help her out, and add something to the wagon!
